Current Trainings & Credentials:

Breana Davis, Certified Doula & Childbirth Educator

Breana (she/her) has been a birth and postpartum doula for 5 years and has served over 100 families. She started her career in Seattle, WA through the mentorship of a non-profit organization called Open Arms Perinatal Services and through the Swedish Doula Program at Swedish Hospital. Through both experiences, she was awarded the opportunity to grow as a doula, learn the importance of community for families, and gain expertise in navigating systems for the families she serves.

After her training in April 2018, Breana was eager to get more connected with the Seattle community by first giving back and listening to the birth workers of the community before her. One way she connected with those birth workers is by continuing a tradition of potluck dinners that eventually grew into a network of Black Birth workers in Washington.

Breana’s hope with her doula practice is to create a community with her clients. Her clients are eager to prepare and connect with support for their pregnancy and postpartum journeys, they are offered a space to be as messy, raw, and authentic during our time together. Expressions of happiness, grief, fear, resentment, overwhelm, and everything in between are all normal parts of the perinatal transition and are supported when she is welcomed in your space.

Her approach is encouraging, resourceful, and simple. With all of the things, parents can worry about, she hopes to simplify solutions and techniques that offer you more time and energy to be present with your growing family.

Breana is a mother of a sweet and outgoing baby Miles, and a cuddly cat, Camila. She enjoys home design, podcasts, and home DIY projects and is currently on the search for a new adult sport to learn. She loves sharing meals (especially brunch) with her friends, family, and community.
